We're not a traditional review site. We don't unbox products on camera or test them in a lab. Instead, we do something we think is more useful: we analyze what thousands of real owners think after living with a product for weeks, months, and years.
Step 1 We Find Products Worth Reviewing
We focus on products that meet all of these criteria:
- ✓Have at least 100 verified customer reviews
- ✓Are currently in stock from at least 2 retailers
- ✓Fall within practical price ranges for each category
- ✓Were released or updated within the last 24 months
- ✓Serve our audience — practical, quality-focused buyers
We don't review medical devices, financial products, or anything requiring professional advice.
Step 2 We Collect Reviews From Everywhere
For each product, we gather and analyze reviews from multiple sources:
- →Amazon (customer reviews + Q&A section)
- →Retailer websites (manufacturer + specialty stores)
- →YouTube (top review videos by view count)
- →Reddit and owner forums
- →Professional review sites when available
We tell you exactly how many reviews we analyzed for each product, right at the top of every article.
Step 3 We Check for Fakes
Not all reviews are real. We run products through fake-review detection tools and flag anything suspicious. If a product has a significant fake review problem, we either disclose it prominently or exclude the product entirely. We also look for sudden rating drops, warranty complaint clusters, and signs that a product is being phased out.
Step 4 We Score and Rank
Every product gets a Sifted Score from 1–10, calculated from:
Aggregate rating across all sources, adjusted for volume and verified purchases
Price relative to competitors and feature set
Long-term owner reviews (6+ months), warranty reputation, build quality mentions
Setup complexity, learning curve, accessibility
In-stock status, customer service reputation, return policy

All analysis, scoring, and recommendations are based on real data from real product owners. The personalities exist to make the content more engaging and relatable — not to deceive.
